I founded Caring Connections USA at the age of thirteen. As an infant, I underwent a major surgery. Although I have no personal memory of that experience, its impact on my parents was profound. Over the years, they occasionally shared with me the challenges and emotional hardships they faced during that difficult period. Through those conversations, I began to understand the immense strength and resilience required of families caring for a hospitalized child.

 

My grandmother, a retired neonatologist, further deepened my understanding by sharing stories from her years caring for fragile newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Some of these infants were astonishingly small and required extensive medical care. Their families often spent weeks or even months at the hospital, navigating uncertainty while remaining steadfast in their support and love.

My own family’s experience, combined with the stories I heard from my grandmother, inspired my sisters and me to take action. Caring Connections USA was born from a desire to support these extraordinary families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Through our efforts, we hope to provide comfort, encouragement, and meaningful assistance while contributing to a more compassionate and supportive community.
